Description
The Luna-12 automatic station is equivalent to the Luna-11 station in terms of structure and equipment.
Based on the results of the Luna-11 flight, Luna-12 was designed with a refined drain valve system. There was also installed an autonomous stabilization system with increased thrust nozzles, which ensured that the spacecraft would rotate to the preset angle and stabilize upon the braking completion.
