Description
Mars-96 SC is designated to carry out the complex exploration of Mars planet, the Sun, the interplanetary space and astrophysical researches.
Automatic SC is manufactured in a single copy within Mars-96 international project. Main tasks of Martian expedition, implemented according to this project, are the creation of an artificial satellite of Mars and delivery to the planet surface of research probes (penetrators and small autonomous stations). The presence in one expedition of such a combination of research means (orbiter scientific payload and 4 research probe-labs) represents a unique possibility for carrying out of long-lasting planet researches including the research of seasonal changes in its atmosphere and on its surface.
